PRT

PRT has a new meaning for me today...we call it the Positive Recognition Team. (Alas, it has little to do with sorority recruitment. But I wish it did. I miss the days of all nighters in college with my sorority sisters. Ahhhh...how I love recruitment.)

We got together and planned positive recognition for our kiddos from now until the end of the year. I'm spearheading the "AIMS Rally" which will hopefully get the whole school pumped up and ready to take their AIMS test this year.

I'm envisioning Rally caps (ala baseball teams), and AIMS t-shirts, colored by grade level, that say something along the lines of "AIMing at my target" and a target on the back.....oh I'm so excited about this. We're going to have assemblies and a dunk tank and pie throwing into teachers faces...oh the possibilities are endless.

I'm trying to make sure that our kiddos have an incentive to do well on the test that determines Federal Government takeover this year. Sometimes, kids failed by missing one question. ONE. QUESTION. This will change. Soon.

Let's see...did anything funny happen today?

I had to announce to the kids about how they may get a schedule change on Monday and I may not have them in class anymore. (Since I get the pleasure of going to Professional Development tomorrow....) The girls looked sad. The boys cheered. One, Shiny Object we shall call him, cheered exceptionally loudly. My reply?

"Don't worry, Shiny. You get to stay with me."

"Dammit." He said, so loudly it was just too funny to get him in trouble for it. I feel his pain. I wanted him gone too.
