So today, in JA Biztown lessons, the kids had to do a culminating crossword puzzle of the Unit 1 words.
I set the timer, and they got 5 minutes to find words like community, economy, taxes, capitalism, etc.....
I walk over to ADD (I have no other way to describe him. He's large, unmedicated, a genius, and annoying as fuck at the same time. Oh, and has an IEP and cannot read. Literally. Cannot. Read.) and, I will admit, was looking to see if he was dicking around as per usual on this day.
I look down at his crossword puzzle, and almost go ape-shit.
"ADD, you cannot circle words that are not on the word bank. You're just goofing around."
Him: blank stare.
Me: "ADD, why did you circle the word WOLF? Where in economics do we discuss FOREST ANIMALS?"
Him: "Where do you see the word wolf?"
Me: "Right there."
Him: Devilish grin. "Uhhh...Ms. L, I'm sorry to tell you, but that says flow. Backwards."
And then, what do we do? 26 kiddos and 1 teacher cannot stop laughing.
