This article pains me to read, but it is so interesting.

This research makes me realize that I want to be doing research of some kind. I want to be writing stuff that people read and reflect on. I want to contribute to the collective knowledge of something, you know?

And the collective knowledge of 5th graders is not really going to inspire NY Times articles.
