I love this discussion on the ten big ideas of school leaders.
Think about these things: yes, your decisions should be about the kids 100% of the time. YES YES YES. As long as you can say its about the kids, then yes, you should do it.
OH and you should take responsibility for the good and the bad. YES YES. Hmmm...take responsibility and don't blame? Oh what an interesting concept.
I may or may not have fallen in love with this website, by the way. Oh how I love learning through the educational blogging community.
