I cannot believe that I will have to deal with this.
It scares me that the Internet can become this hateful, spiteful place. I don't think middle schoolers are ready to be socially networking on the internet. I have a few reasons why:
a) they are just mean. Mean kids. Its not their fault, their brains are wired for them to be mean.
b) Compounding the meanness, they don't have control yet. Their frontal lobes are not fully developed, therefore, they have a harder time with higher level, more abstract thinking.
c) Take these two things together, they don't have control and don't see the consequences of their actions.
I certainly don't want to be in a place that has students causing something terrible that cannot be fixed....like bullying induced suicides.
