Girls hearting the maths?

So this article (genius, I tell you) gives helpful suggestions as to how to encourage girls into math and science fields.

I feel like the girls in my class next year are going to be mini-scientists....and show must disdain for things that aren't "the maths" (ie reading.)

I can just see my feedback from the powers that be: "Don't forget your ridiculously prescribed, overly written out lesson plans for reading. That's the most important! READING! READING! Forget about the maths!"

And we won't. Because I'm a math teacher....we'll read sometimes too.
