Spoon has nothing on this lady...

I always laughed when my roommate tried to get her cat Spoon to walk on a leash. Spoon would have nothing of it - she would try to wriggle out of the harness. She would refuse to walk when the leash was on. It got a little better, as time went on - Spoon would walk a little bit on the patches of grass between our apartment and the lakefill. But Spoon has nothing on what we saw yesterday...

A little person wandering around with a rabbit on a leash. Yes, this bunny was hopping around outside. The woman was getting a lot of attention, too. Well, I guess if you're going to walk around a public place, and let people pet your animal, you have to be ready for attention.

But the best part came when G and B were talking to the woman. B was really into talking to this woman about her pet rabbit, and G was enjoying looking at this rabbit. (No one can overlook the fact that the average age of the people around this rabbit was 6...except for G and B).

When the rest of us walked over and joined the discussion, the woman, in a completely straight face, said to B, "You should do your research if you really want to own a rabbit. They live for a long time. Perhaps you should get a dwarf rabbit."

It took all of the tact in the world for the four of us not to die laughing. We kept four straight faces, and proceeded to get out of that situation quickly.
