Dear Ace of Base,
I wonder if your song has more meaning now that I'm in my 20s. Now that I have been seeing the signs to leave my job behind.
It's become quite clear now that it is time to begin a new chapter in my life. So, come tomorrow, I'm resigning at my current school district and going to find a new job across the country.
This both excites me and scares me. It excites me more: I get to go back to the side of the country I really love. I get to work in a place that really cares about student achievement. I get to work with people who are on the same page as me. I get to leave manipulative, favorite-playing people behind. I get to show people that I actually know how to do my job.
But I'm scared because I don't actually have any job offers. I know they will come, but right now, I'm relegated to my parents' house when I move away from here.
Thanks, Ace of Base, for showing me the sign that it was time to leave.
Sincerely,
Me
