Bullies.

One of the most fabulous teachers on our campus - neigh, in the entire teaching profession - is being bullied.  She is being bullied by our administration and it makes me want to vomit.

Let's discuss her brilliance on multiple levels:  (Apparently i'm obsessed with bulleted lists today)
  • Best. Reading. Teacher.  I've. Encountered.  I've learned so much from her this year that when I open my dream school in the future, I'm forcing her to be the reading coach.  And teach reading.  Joyfully.  All day long.
  • Best. Coworker.  Ever.  She is supportive of her colleagues every day.  She gives suggestions.  She listens when we have problems.  She makes us laugh.  She knows about our families and our lives.  She cares.
  • Most. Reflective. Teacher.  Every day, she analyzes what she can do to help the kids learn.  EVERY DAY.  Sometimes multiple times a day.  She honestly reflects and changes her instruction daily.
  • Most. Inspiring. Teacher. Ever.  She was given the hardest job on campus this year.  And she refuses to give up.  She works harder than any person I've ever met (and I went through TFA.  With ridiculous overachievers.)  She inspires me to work harder.  She inspires some of the most negative kids on campus to grow, learn, and achieve.  And she doesn't yell.  And she doesn't get help.
So I would like the bullying to stop.  It is not fair.  It is not right.  And until the administration does her job, they need to stop bullying her and start helping her.
