We arrived at the sushi bar, and greeted everyone with smiles. Why were we smiling? Because it was summer vacation. The joy of summer vacation: teachers don't have to go to work every day.
The joy of summer vacation for new teachers can be summed up in this whole conversation.
Miss L: "G, when's the last time you showered?"
G: "Its been a while."
Miss L: "You can tell. Your hair is doing this weird unshowered thing."
G: "Well, I just took off my swimming trunks for the first time this week, uhhh...a few hours ago?"
Miss L: "G, when's the last time you were sober?"
G: "Let's not get into that...."
