Well, let's get on this.

Okay, so this says that students who cannot read on grade level by 3rd grade are 4 times less likely to graduate high school by age 19.  

Well, this would make it much more important to put great reading teachers in younger grades.  Then, after third grade, kids are reading to learn, not learning to read.

DUH. 

Let's teach communities about early literacy.  Then we can get the whole village to help a child, not just the school.
