Bus Evacuations and the Water Cycle

Today we had to go practice a "bus evacuation." My two classes got on a bus in front of our school, and the bus drivers had to explain what to do in case of an emergency. well, i tried to stay on the bus and "supervise," but the bus driver was this big black lady who told them that: "If this bus rolls over and catches on fire, if you can't get out in 3 minutes, you will burn to death."

After she said that, I tried to keep a straight face and look menacing, to make sure the point got across, but i had to bite the inside of my lip because I was laughing. Really? You say that to 11 year olds?

Then she said, "if you trip on the way out, all of the friends behind you, they're dead. You've killed them." Then, I had to walk off of the bus. And laugh hysterically.

Also, when I was checking rough drafts about the water cycle, Salvador's water droplet falling from the cloud said, "And then i saw a lot of chinese people." I said, "Salvador, this is kind of racist. Why are you seeing just Chinese people?" "Miss L, duh. We're at the Great Wall of China." "Well, Salvador, you didn't write that on your paper." "Oh, I didn't. I guess i forgot. I just wrote about the chinese people." Oh the hilarity.
